In the United States, Father’s Day is Sunday, June 20, 2027. That makes Saturday, June 19, the day before. Use those two dates if you’re choosing between a Saturday gathering and celebrating on Father’s Day itself.

Father’s Day falls on June 18, 2028, and June 17, 2029. The Sunday stays in the same position in June, but the date number changes. A calendar reminder that repeats every June 20 will miss the holiday in both of those years.

U.S. law designates the third Sunday in June. Find the first Sunday and count forward two weeks. In 2027 the first three Sundays are June 6, 13, and 20. The holiday can fall anywhere from June 15 through June 21.

If your calendar supports a custom annual recurrence, choose the third Sunday of June. Otherwise, enter the dates separately. If you’re making plans with someone abroad, label the invitation “U.S. Father’s Day” and confirm which date they observe before you book or ship anything.
